The 1955 Topps Baseball set consists of 206 cards, each measuring 2-5/8" by 3-3/4”. The redesigned 1955 set marked the first use of a horizontal format for player depictions through the entire production run. Unchanged by Topps was the two-image design, with every player depicted in a portrait and an action illustration, and sharing space with a colorful team logo. The set is packed with mid-1950s baseball talent, including Hank Aaron, Ernie Banks, Al Kaline, Jackie Robinson, Warren Spahn and Ted Williams being among the “Low Numbers". "High Numbers" featured the likes of Yogi Berra, Gil Hodges, Willie Mays, Phil Rizzuto, and Duke Snider. Not to be overlooked were rookie classmates Roberto Clemente, Harmon Killebrew, and Sandy Koufax.
