1949 Bowman BB

The 1949 Bowman set consists of 240 cards, each measuring 2-1/16" by 2-1/2”. The series featured black-and-white player photographs with the addition of color to the team uniforms placed and backgrounds with several different pastel shades. Both elements marked major changes made by Bowman from the preceding year's black-and-white production. The set is anchored by the cards of Satchell Paige (#224) and Duke Snider (#226), as well as players such as Stan Musial (#24), Bob Feller (#27), Ralph Kiner (#29), Warren Spahn(#33), Pee Wee Reese (#36), Roy Campanella (#84) and Larry Doby (#233).
